What it looks like
- Sogno Nero: a vertical fissure 3–4 m wide and over 20 m high, with shafts down to about −98 m.
- Sogno Bianco: a cave mouth at the base of a large , with a steep gallery and a 25 m shaft.
- At the bottom a chamber splits into two branches blocked by collapse.
Water and air
No permanent watercourse; the draught guided the cavers to the connection.
Did you know? In the right-hand branch of Sogno Nero a large, very old bone was found, possibly of a woolly rhinoceros, still being studied.
